Mr. Lawson Young, of Manaia, ?eft for Auckland this morning, leaving from that city for a; tour, of A.uistarlia. Miss Betty Hunger, of Manaia, left, by the mail train this morning for Wellington on mute to Sydney on a holiday visit. Mr, Finlayson, of the Government Audit Department, is in Hawera and ia staying at the Commercial Hotel., Mr. and Mrs. T. Westwood, of Wellington, who are taking up their permanent residence in Hawera, are at present staying at the Commercial 1 . Hotel. Mr. and l Mrs. Allan Wilkie are guests at the Commercial Hotel during their stay in Hawera. Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Taylor returned to Hawera ; by the mail train on Tuesday night-, after spending about three months at Wellington and Christchurch. Refoirmens from Rangitikei and other electorates .along the west coast of the North Island .gathered at Marton on ■ Tuesday evening to give expression to the esteem in which they .held Mr. W. S. Glenn, who represented Rangitikei in Parliament for nine years. The leader of the Opposition, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Ooa.teis, was present, and on behalf of the Rangitikei electors presented Mr. Glenn with a handsome solid silver tray, suitably inscribed. A brief toast list vvaig honoured. I
