For tlie second day of the Pahiatua | races the splendid weather attracted a j large attendance. There was excellent (racing. The totalisator handled £14,702] compared with £8320 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £29,134. Last year it was £11,213. It was the most successful gathering for! years. After the running of the third race an inquiry was held into alleged interference by S. Anderson with Archeria, Iviioreill and others. The committee held that interference took place but that there was not sufficient evidence of incompetent or careless riding to justify suspension. Results are: TRIAL PLATE.
