TOKIO, Jan. 14. A sinister situation is developing in Manchuria which Japan is unable to ignore. Officials admit anxiety as to the outcome. A report from China indicates that the disposition of Nanking is to go to extremes, demanding the surrender of Japan’s interests, including the south 'Manchurian railway. This demand follows* the hoisting- of the Nationalist flag at Mukden and the execution of Yang Yu Ting, the Manchurian statesman, who was friendly to Japan.
