Time, 1.15. lIAWERA TRACK NOTES. (By “Limited.”) The rain last night made the plough track a little isiticky, amd the grass track was used for fast work this morning. This track was in very good order, as was- evidenced when Llano-re and Silver-mine did their gallop of &>ix furlongs. The pair jumped off well together, keeping on even terms until, the final furlong was entered on, where Sil-vermin© asserted iliis superiority, leading the black filly home by three-quarters of a length in 1.16 j. Partaga and Latakia were given pace work on the plough.

Benzora, the other member of Ct Jackson’s team, was not out, having struck him,seif slightly while running in the paddock. Boundary. Yawl and Tenaore were companions in a gallop over five furlongs. The trio went away well, keeping in line for about half >a furlong, when Yawl and Tenacre opened uip a break and at* the three furlong post were several 'lengths in front of Boundary, run in 36secs. The, effect of this pace was evident when they tunned for home —the pair tiring and Boundary, finishing remarkably well, beat them home in 1.3 1-5.

Bright Glow strode over a couple of rounds in resolute style, and looked really well.

Richfield was give.ii light pace work, and appeal’s alii right again after his spell. Royal Acre went half a mile by Ihim«elf in 52secs' comfortably. Glengariff did a couple of rounds nice pace work, similar work liedng accompli,shed by Orazonc. and Meiudip. Rerenioana. and Valpre (did. their gallop on the plough track. The old champion finished in front of his companion over half a mile in 50|seas,. On pulling up it was found that Reremonna bad struck himself slightly. Airtight (Conway) and Vivo CL. Ed‘wards) went a round of the schooling fenoeiS, giving a good exhibition of fast jumping. For a green one Vivo is shaping well. San Fera has been returned to his owner for a spell, and will he brought in again far the steeplechase season. The Limond gelding, Kahn, has been sold to a Waikato sportsman, and wais shipped l north yesterday.
