Poincare had not ascended the tribune to denounce antillepublicans. , M. Poincare jumped up and asked the deputies if they end not remember how he was foremast in defending Parliament against the reactionaries. He. mentioned liis share in defeating Boulanger and saving Dreyfus. Almost the entire chamber was stirred _ by. the dramatic allusion to these historic incidents and burst into applause. M.
