EGMONT, SUMMER MEETING NOMINATIONS CLOSE ON MONDAY. Nominations for the Egmont Racing Club’s summer meeting close with the secretary (Mr E. P. Cox) at Hawera at 8.30 p.m. on Monday. Weights will be declared by Mr H. Coyle about Friday, January 25, acceptances for the first day closing at 8.30 on Monday, January 28. With the Egmont Cup race of 700 sovs and the Tonks Stakes of 400 s’ovs as the principal prizes on the first and second days respectively, the total of prizes amoAints to £4OIO.
