RETIRED FARMER’S DEATH.
FOUND WITH HEAD SHATTERED. The discovery of the body of Samuel J. Price, a retired farmer of Wa\ r erley, Avitli his head shattered and a gun at his side, Avas made in, the Avasliliouse of his residence yesterday morning. >, The deceased, Av-ho Avas over 50 years of age, had not been in good health for some time past. He was a widower and is survived by three daughters, and one son, who resided with him, but at the time of the fatality were absent on holiday. Mr. Price Avas well knoAvn in the Taranaki district and also in sporting circles.
