For the last three -days whilst the championship rinks bowling matches have been' in progress Wellington has suffered from one of those persistent 1 ‘low pressures,’ ’ together with, its depressing concomitants' —muggy, misty weather with a pall of breathless grey clouds. . ; " Owing to the misty rain that fell this morning a start was not made with the fifth round of the championship rinks until 10.30 a.m. On that account the council decided to make the games for the day 21' heads instead of the programmed •25 heads. Following are the wins and losses of those who have won four or more games in each section : Section A.

KAPONGA. A two-rink team went to Stratford lro'm Ivaponga on Thursday to play a shield match, but owing to a misunderstanding 'Stratford did not expect them. A noo-oeiupetition game, was played, Stratford scoring a win.
