A party of wealthy American tourists, who have been travelling in New Zealand, returned to Dunedin on Saturday night with practically nothing in their possession but the clothes they wore. They had the munificent sum of 2s 9d in cash and the. remains of some valuable jewellery, which was burnt in the five. Their notes and letters of credit were all destroyed, leaving them in an awkward predicament.
