Orange Prince fell in the Summer Cup and was destroyed. The results are: Summer Cup.—-Donald 1, Fondant 2, Resource 3. Ten started. Fondant attempted to lead all the way, with Valamita, Resource, Orange Prince, Octember, and Donald as its nearest attendant’s, but in a desperate finish Donald got up and won by half a head, with two and a half lengths between second and third! Time, 2.46. December Stakes.- —Holdfast 1, Twinkle Star 2“ Violin Solo 3. Six started. Holdfast won’ lull of running by two and a half lengths, with three lengths between second and third. Time, 1.01. Holdfast has now Avon four times in succession. Christmas Handicap.—First DWision: Nut Cup 1, Loquacious (New Zealand) 2, Frances Collett 3. Twelve started. Won by two lengths, with three-quarters of a length _ between second and third. Time, 1.371. Second division: Ba\ r arde 1, Happy New 2, Lipari 3. Won by a length, with a length and a half between second and third. Ten started. The New Zealander Boston was seventh. Time, 1.38. . _ Summer Nursery Handicap.—Eileen Cello 1, Exact 2, Vercoola 3.
