THREATS MADE TO JUDGE.

Special police remained guarding the homes of the chief witnesses after the jury convicted Angelo Pettiti and Andrew Cape'liano of kidnapping for ransom the 10-year-old Billy Ranieri. Judge Gentzel sentenced them to. 25 years’ imprisonment. “I commend you for your courage*, your patriotism and your judgment. You have my profound, respect,” declared .the judge' to ,tbe jurymen. He asked the jurors to reports to the police immediately if -they received npore threats of death. “I have received death threats during this trial, but I hope to get home all right,” said the judge.
