AUROA AFFAIRS.
ANNUAL MEETING OF PIPE BAUD
A meeting to review the work of the year for the Auroa Pipe Band was held in the hall on Wednesday evening, Mr A. Brown presiding. The report disclosed a successful year, with a sound fiuaneial position, '* the balance-sheet showing a credit of £27 after paying £24 for new uniforms. It was resolved to adopt the name Auroa Highland Pipe Band.
Officers were elected -as follows: President, Mr A. N. Brown; vice-presidents Messrs A. C. Hanglands, H. Hartley, A. C. Johnstone, T. Blair, J. Russell, J. Caldwell, A. Dunn, G. Kirk, C. Rye, J. Gardner, R. Law, J. Imlah, 'S. Agnew, D. Holmes, J. Allan, T. J. Ross and McNeil Adams; secretary Mr C. Rowlands; treasurer, Mr M, Langl-ands; pipe major, Mr D. McLeod; drum major, Mr J. Bell; pipe sergeant, Mr J. -C. Duff; pipe corporal, Mr J. Sturgeon; custodian, Mr A. Imlah; auditor, Mr IH. -Hartley. -Rules will he drawn up by a subcommittee consisting of Messrs Brown, Duff and McLeod. The general committee will consist of the officers, in conjunction with Pipers Rye and D. Cameron.
A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
