A BRAVE GIRL.
"REMARKABLE (PRESENCE OF MIND. PRAISED BY CORONER. (Australian Pr<-sa Assojiation.) GISBORNE, Dec, 11. At the inquest held at 'Te Karalca into the circumstances surrounding the death of Joseph Wi Rangi, who succumbed to burns sustained when a lamp overturned, the coroner, 'Air Levvy, gave 'warm praise to the little Alaori girl. Lily Otone, aged -10, for her remarkable presence of mind. The evidence showed that the girl followed the boy when he ran out of the house and extinguished the burning garment by' -wrapping him in a rug. •She then returned lo the house and with water quenched the fire, thereby probably saving the IPe of her sister, who was asleep.
