BRITISH COAL INDUSTRY.
GOVERNMENT PROPOSES TO HELP. SELLING ORGANISATION PLANNED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) LONDON, Dee. 9. The Government Ims prepared and is expected to announce before Christmas an important scheme for help of the coal industry according to the ‘'Sunday Express. ’ The public is concerned that 2c0,000 miners are idle and over 1,000,000 men,women and children are facing a cheerless Christmas. The people are now subscribing hastily to relief funds. The Government plan aims at the creation of a huge selling organisation as well as the provision of capital for the development of coal power on scientific lines.
