A MISSING BANIvDUPT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, Dec. 10. In the case of William Donald, a bankrupt coaclibuilder, who disappeared from Matamata, the Official Assignee to-day examined Donald’s wife, who said that she had made inquiries and believed that her husband was in Australia, but she did not know where. She said that Donald had previously been bankrupt in Taranaki, where lie had been farming.
The Assignee said that Mrs. Donald appeared to he quite frank. He adjourned the hearing l'or further inquiries.
A CIVIL ACTION. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 10. Til the Supreme Court to-day the Dominion Trust Company, John Owen Jameson, company manager, and Cecil George MeKellar, accountant and shareholder, sued James Stephen Day, public accountant, for £SOO, alleged to he due by Day to the estate, of the late Richard Hayward, farmer. Day counterclaimed for £6OO for services to Hayward as agent, and denied the claim. The case is proceeding.
