A man with a. bad criminal history wast lw>w Chief Detective Ward described Freedriok Charles Richmond, a deal j?r, aged 27, who pleaded .guilty to stealing six bicycles, to the total value of £4O 10s. It was stated that ‘ lie_ took the bicycles home and after painting them a different colour and changing the parts, sold them. His wife was a decent hard working _ woman, and the accused practically lived on her. A ©entenc® of 12 months’' imprisonment was imposed. WORLD’S PRESS CONGRESS. TIMARIT, Oct. 31.
