LONDON, Oct. 30. The German Charge d’Affaires had a, long interview with Lord Cusliendun in deference to Germany’® willingnes® to collaborate in the appointment of a committee of experts as agreed at Geneva to seek a definite settlement of- the reparation problem. PARIS, Oct; 30. The German Ambassador interviewed M. Briand, and expressed Berlin’s view that the committee should be composed of independent experts, net Government officials.
Following a meeting of the Council of Ministers to discuss the question. M. Lougheur told journalists that the Government had not proposed in anywise id submit the Berenger-Mellor,. and the Caillaux-Cliurchill agreements for the Chamber’s ratification. They were still dealing with reparations, and had not yet reached the question of debts. EVACUATION OF RHINELAND. GERMANY’S HOPES. Received 1.5 p.m. to-day. BERLIN, Oct. 30. Hopes were expressed here that France, when the committee was convened, would spontaneously agree to an early evacuation of the "Rhineland, which would create ail improved atmosphere for the revision of the plan.
