HAWERA CONVENT.

SCHOOL CONCERT. AN INTERESTING EVENING. There was a large audience .present last night in this- Convent School hall, when a gcod programme was submitted by the pupils. The various items were well given and gained hearty applause from the listener^.

Morgan; chorus, “Before the Sun Awakes the Morn,” Standards 6 and 7j dialogue, “In the Play Room,” •Misses" Goodwin ; piano solo, “Diiveutimentino,” Miss N. Shannon;, song, “The Aeroplane,” Standards 1 and] 2 ; recitation, “Suppose,” Miss P. Kent; chorus, “Men.of Harlech,’ Standard 5; recitation, “If,” Master J. Geary; piano solo., “Grace,” Master B. Drake; chorus, “Gone is the Winter,” Standards 3 and. 4; recitation, “The Minuet,’ Miss D. Gray; “Lullaby,”.Standards 3 and 7 girls; cornet and. piano, “The Dawn,” Master' and Mies King; recitation, “One, Two, Three,” Miss N. Turnbull!; piano solo, “The Brook,” phantasy, Miss I. Robertson; .sketch, “The Train to Msuro,” Miss V. Qnm and Masters Fredericks and Turnbull; chorusi, “God Defend New Zealand.” The hall was very prettily decorated by the Sisters and the pupils and great credit is due to Sisters for the excellent way in which everything was carried out during the evening.
