PERSONAL ITEMS.
The Marlborough Aero Club has appointed 'Captain -N. E. Chandler, of Blenheim, as its pilot-instructor at a salary of £SOO. Captain Chandler had extensive war experience as pilot and has since kept up flying as a member ot -the Air Force reserve, states a Press Association message from Blenheim. A Press Association message from Hamilton states that Dr. M. M. ITodcin, now assistant superintendent of the Waikato Hospital, was to-day appointed superintendent in the place of Jjt, G. W. Gower (resigned). There were eight applicants. Mr J. C. MeCrea, for the past five year's chief postmaster at Wellington, retires on superannuation on September 19, states a Wellington Press Association message. He joined the department in 1885 at Cambridge.
