ANNUAL REPORTS. MANGATOKI COMPANY. The, report submitted to tlie twentyeighth annual- meeting of suppliers and shareholders this morning at tlie hall was- as- follows: . “Your directors have, pleasure in congratulating the shareholders on the conclusion of a year’s successful working. The supply has been well maintained, being nearly up to, that of last year, and the quality of our produce has again been high in the gradings of that passing through Patea. Stocks have been valued on a. safe basis. From the balance to the credit of appropriation account the directors recommend the payment of 5 per cent interest on shares-, which will absorb £1257. The retiring directors are Messrs. Preeee, Anderson and Marx, who are- eligible and offer themselves for re-election. Air. Beech has resigned, and this vacancy is- to he filled for the balance of the term.” Statistics. Total pounds milk received, 34.545,676; total -pounds butter-fat-, 1,429,807 (including 98401 b butter-fat from home separated cream; average test, 4.11 per cent; total charges, including depreciation, per lb butter-fat to f.o.b. ocean steamer, 3.932 d. Used for cheesemaking.—Pounds butter-fat, 1,358,939; pounds cheese made, 3,653,840 (1631 tons 3cwt 2qrs 81b); yield of cheese- per pound butterfat, factory weight, 2.6881 b. WAVERLEY COMPANY. Tlie report for the year presented at the annual meeting to-day is as follows- :—, “The directors are pleased to state that the ,sea-son has been a very good one, both for production and prices received. Although at one period, owing to continuous dry weather, the supply of milk was reduced very much, we in this district were fortunate- tlia-t the rain arrived in time to arrest the drop- and also provide a wonderful autumn growth. The electrical plant installed has been very satisfactory when in operation. Unfortunately, owing to the dry season restricting the use of the power, it has riot been possible to come to a definite, conclusion as to the difference in oast of running, hut it is certainly more convenient. In accordance with the recommendation made at last annual meeting, the directors have arranged for the erection of two receiving hoists with corresponding whey deliveries, and th-ey hope this will- greatly reduce the time of waiting sit- the factory. Up to date the payments per lb for butter-fat have -beeh one shilling and sixpence and onetenth of a penny. A further payment of twopence per lb will be made available by the date of the annual meeting, with the anticipation of. another payment on the disposal of the balance of the output. We have to thank the manager, secretary and mem bens of the staff for their courtesy and attention •to the company’is interests. The retiring directors are Messrs F. Johnson, J. Metcalfe and D. Stewart, who, beinor eligible, offer tliemtselve-s for re-election.
