Store cows were not yarded in great numbers, but they- sold well, proving the good effect of the mild weapon. There was little demand lor sheep, except mixed sex hoggets, which were sought ea-ger'y and brought up to 245. At Don-ela-s- there was a capital sale, buyers being present from Manawatu and Wairnrapa, and there wans >a good inquiry shown for aiM easses of .stock. They houglit both cattl.c- and sheep. This, outside demand, which has been very noticeable this .season, tnmiist have an‘effect later on prices.
