The lettr, the text of which had been approved by the bee-keepers’ confeience at Hawera,on June 30, protested against the chambers’ action in urging the Government' to initiate an inquiry into the operations of the Honey Board. The council, after making some caustic comments, resolved that the communication he not 'received. A portion of the ‘letter reads: —“The National Beekeepers’ Association of New Zealand wishes to intimate to yonr chamber that, your unwelcome and uninvited interference in the domestic affairs of those engaged in the honey industry is widely resented, and has created an impression that the hotly of sane opinion in your chamber is in the habit o,f being stampeded by vested interests whose desire is to secure disunion and weakness among producers _ for reasons very well known to all business men.” The preident of the chamber, Air Alorritt. said the letter was perfectly silly. The decision not to accept it was carried unanimously.
