THE LEAGUE CODE.

ENGLISHMEN ARRIVE IN NEW ZEALAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 30. After a successful tour of Australia, the English Rugby League team arrived by the Aorangi for the Dominion tour (including three-tests), opening at faupiri on Wednesday. The manager, Mr. E. Osborne, who came out with the previous side, said that wonderful enthusiasm was shown in Australia, where the gates were a record. The Englishmen won the test rubber, and were anxious to avenge their defeat in New Zealand in 1924. The captain, Jonathan Parker, is making his third tour of this country. He will probably be out of action for the tour, owing to an injured hand.
