WORLD’S TALLEST HUMAN.
DUTCH. WOMAN’S DISTINCTION. The tallest person in the world is now a woman. She is Brunhikle van Droysen, exactly eight- feet tall, which is-only a fraction of an inch taller than her little sister, Elsa, who has to wear higher heels than her big .sister to measure up to her stance. With the famous little person Princess Marga, the English dwarf (the tall ladies come from Holland), the strange trio are on the music-hall stage in Berlin. Not so very long ago Brunhilde could ■ not have lavl claim to the title of the tallest human being. She would have had to look up to Van Dreusen, their giant landsman from Holland, who towered eight feet nine inches tall. He died recently at the age of 28 years. As far as the records go, Van Dreusen was the tallest human being in the history of the world, hsvrring the legendary giants. Nearest to his height was O’Brien, the Irish giant, who grew to eight feet eight inches. Unfortunately O’P-ien died at the age of 22 years, at which time he was growing fast. According to his rate of growth at the time, he might have reached 10 feet had not death cut short Ids career.
