SYDNEY, July 27. The Federal Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. S. Al. Bruce, in an address at the clii-tnibars of Commerce dinner, declared that Biritai'n should co-operate xn the development of the Dominions. While the influx of migrants to Australia should be limited to the absorotion powers of the Commonwealth,, Mr Bruce 'hoped 1 that Australia,’s small population would deceive assistance in carrying the crowing interest- burden. Surely, then it would be worth white spending sma.l-;' sums in interest towards the provision or useful avenues of employment for men wliose morals, under the present system-, were being undermined. Indeed, only a fraction q. ihe £15.000,000 earmarked by the British Government five years ago for overseas- settlement had been -spent, which showed that the problem had never really -been tackled and disclosed _ a lack of understanding by British Mni listens and eonimerciai l men regarding the oreat possibilities- and potentialities oAustralia, and the other Dominions.
