GREAT INCREASE IN BRITAIN

RUGBY, July 25. The rapidly increasing number of motor vehicles on British roads was shown by official figures published today. Within one year the number had increased from 153,030 to 1,090,1X10. Nearly £20,1)00,COO had been paid in horsepower' tax in the six months ending May 3i, an increase ox pearly in?,(XX),OOO as compared with the corresponding period two years ago.
