Newton King, Ltd., report oil their Ohara sale, on Thursday,vJuly 19, as. rouows:— ' . A large yarding of both sheep andi cattle came forward, and competition was exceptionally keen. Bnyers wore in attendance fiom all pants of. tlie xving Country, Waikato., Taranaki and as rar afield as the Palmerston North district. Lidding was very spirited, and the prices paid for stock were pronafily higher than they -ha.ve. been since- the boom period. We quote as 1 follows: —Two-tooth ewes up to 39s 6d; 4-tooth ewes up to 38s 9d; 6-tooth ewes up to 40s; 4-year ewes up to 355; 5-vear ewe® to 325; 4 and 5-vear ewes up to 375; mixed aged wethers. 32s 3d to 35s ;'ewe lambs, 25s 6d to 295; wether lambs 24a 6d to 25s 3d; mixed sex lambs, 20s 3d up (to 31s 6di for an exeeptinally nice line. Innaif P.A. heifers £5 10s to £7 7s ; empty P.A. heifers, £5 to £5 16s;' yearling P.A. steers). £5 5s to £6; fat bullocks, £ll ; 20-month steers 1 , £4 2s to £5 ss; fat cows, £7 2s to £9 2s 6d; run cows. £3 15s to £5 19s.
