There was not a large attendance of buyers present at the annual sale of pedigree' pigs held under tlie aegis. of the Taranaki Pig Breeders’ Association to-day at the show grounds, Hawera. Despite the fact that the animals were all of high breeding and showed type and quality, bidding was slow, and there was‘not a great deal of competition. The sale was held by Newton King, Ltd., for whom Mr. W. B. Fearon was auctioneer. At the time of going to press the sales effected were as follow: On account J. Thomlinson, HaweraPedigree Tamworth sow South Road Daisy, Mount View Lad —Oakdale Knoivle Lady.— R. Tremain, A urea, Signs. On account H. Palmer, Normanby. Three pedigree Tamworth hoars, by Tawera. Rufus 4th —Springdale Lass of Mine. —C. R. Julian, Opunake, 3gns each. On account J. Pill, Hawera. Two Berkshire boars, by Brentwood Yarra—Meadow Girl. —C. R. J-ulian 4.]gns, and A. Forbes.
