POLICE PROSECUTIONS AIT INVERCARGILL.'

HEAVY FINES IMPOSED

At the Police Court, Duncan. Alexander Stuart was charged' with being unlawfully in possession of a still at Otapiri Gorge and with unlawfui'ily making spirit®. The accused pleaded guilty and was fined £450 on the fust .charge aocl:'£so on the .second.

James Robertson was similarly charged m connection with tire still found at Awairna Bay. He was finedi £SO on each, charge..
