HAWERA TRACK NOTES. (By “Limited.”) Most of the training work was completed this morning before tine rain fell, with, the tracks in gp-od ordle-r. R. Br-ough gave Royal Mint a gallop over -six furlong's-. Picked;, up by Oapt. Gazely at the five, the pair finished on even terms. Royal Mint’s time for six bei-n,g» 1-23." This gallop was performed on the grass track. W. Pine sent Calamine, with a goo-d weight up, over three furlongs on the same track -in 38 3-5. Denier, Embralto and i Troidus did pace work. Blank Odin went three furlongs on it-he grass in 39 1-5.

P'aitonu and Bi-sox did their first strong pace work on the plough since Wellington. Both horses looked and went well. Silver Rule lias 10-st nearly all trace of the blemish on her leg. She was given exercise work. This filly has den Moped- widendid-ly during her spell and is growing linto a -very fine type of nra-re.

Silveiniine also was out pottering about on the inside grass and! is evidently ready to -start strong work when required', v J. Staclchouse lias bad his- Acre- filly Boundary on t-lie traclys a couple of times, and she was sprinted a couple of furlongs, showing plenty of speed. She i.si c.-n the small side. ?

Orazone Bright Glow and ACendip, of ■J. Fryer’s (team, were- allotted useful pace work. $5 San Fera, C-alapat, Buster Out, Gflen-ga-riff, Ecrcni-a, Afar ah, ICaha- on cl anumber of others were out exercising, and the tracks are beginning to look busy again. Resinous is giving Trainer Pine plenty of anxiety, as although he gets through slow work all right, -as soon a-s be is nushed along his old ailment re-appea-ys. He appears unlikely to stand a- preparation. Sovemi is to- be brought in again in a- few days. Len Pino goes- -to Glirtsteliu-rch next week in order to attend the Christo church Hunt Club’s -and Grand National meetings. He will have the mounts on horses trained bv J. Pine.
