SHOOTING FOR BIG PRIZE
NEW ZEALANDERS PARTICIPATE. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE, July 4. Shooting for the Melbourne Gun Club £SOOO handicap concluded today. Ninety-three snooters put in 183 nominations. The New Zealanders Dobson and Taylor were in the final 11, who received £273 each. The first division of prize money was £73 at the end of the eighth round, when the New Zealander Truscott was also among the recipients. Other divisions were £IOO each’ at the end of the thirteenth and fifteenth round's, the latter being the final dividend. The world’s pigeon shooting championship commenced this afternoon with 83 entries. Dobson, Truscott, and Tavlor missed their first birds.
