ELTHAM.
PUBLIC LIBRARY COMMITTEE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Eltham Public Library Committee held its monthly meeting last night. Tlio.se present were: Mrs. D. Hyrne, Messrs H. D. McDonald (chair), i‘ ,J. Bridger, L. Egarr (secretary). An apology was received from Mrs. Wilson and Mr. H. Gower. The secretary reported that 40 new books had lieen added to the lending department during the month, and that our new members had joined. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on July 18. The following notice of motion was given and will be moved at the annual meeting: “That the Borough Council be asked to take over the control and management of the public library and reading-room.”
