SWIMMING.
ATTEMPT TO 1 SiWJM IRISH CHANNEL FAILS. (Australian Press Association—United Service.) LONDON, June 24. Miss M. Gloitze attempted to swim the Irish Channel from Donchadee, County Down, to Port Patrick, Scotland, to-day. She abandoned the task after swimming 22 miles in six hours.
