PROGRESS OF RELIEF. DR. NANSEN OPTIMISTIC. NOBILE/ SIGHTS A ’PLANE. (Australian Press Association—United Service.) LENINGRAD, June 19. Expressing the opinion that General Ndbile’iS' failure was clue to the Italians small dimensions. Dr. Nansen, on his arrival to attend the International! Congress of Aenial Exploration ot' the Archie,.' declares his own airship, now being constructed in Germany, in which he intended to make a Polar flight in 1929, would not thus be handicapped. He added that he expected the Soviet’s ice-breakers would bo of the greatest assitance in rescuing General Noibile ancl his crew, about which he personally. was optimistic. The Oitta cli Milano reports that Captain Raiser Larsen and Captain Holm made another flight in the neighbourhood which General Nobile indicated by wireless, but failed to sight General Nobile, who, however, wirelessed that one of the machines was within 1) miles of him. A Tromso message states that Major Guilbauid’s seaplane, with Captain Amundsen aboard, has left for King s Bay. The report from King’s Bay that. Captains Larsen and Holm had found General Nobile and his party is not confirmed.
