(To the Editor.) Sir, —1 was rather amused at the report in your Aloud paper of the Reform meeting at Eltham. on Saturday. AVoukl you kindly enlighten me as to how the report was obtained? Being a resident of Eltham, I of course subscribe to the ‘‘Argus,” hut was therein informed that the meeting was not open to. the Press, so-1 can only assume that all the ‘ ‘froth: and bubble”, about this meeting, which was attended. by about twenty people, was supplied by the Alin is ter’s l secretary —all the enthusiasm, promises, telegrams, etc., were so much sk ito which will all come out in the washing next November. "What I want to know, however—Ls the great Reform Party reduced to the necessity of holding its meetings behind dosed doors? No reporter admitted—just like 0, .small, family party as it wore-. Well, the much derided supporter® of Air Wilkinson made no bones about admitting the Press, and one can only assume that they have nothing to be ashamed of. I am, etc., — LIBERAL.
