While driving from' Hawera to Palmerston North yesterday 'morning •Mr: F. H. Ollcrens'haw, o'f Hawera, to-o-ether with Mrs. Ollerenhaw and two other lady -passengers, experienced a fortunate escape from injury when the ear in which they were'travelling capsized at a point near Waverley. The tar seal •was slippery with the drizzling rain and in passing'an approaching car Mr. 'Oilerenshaw ’s sedan skidded into some loose sand (bordering the tarred portion of the road and Was thrown over on its side. 'Seeking to give prompt assistance a traveller in the oilier ear inadvertently locked the uppermost door of the sedan, (but Atr. Ollercnshaw managed to open it from the inside and clambered out with his passengers, none Ibeing any the worse for the startling mishap.
