LIST OF TROPHIES. The Hawera Poultry Society is very fortunate in having strong support from the people of the town and district and a fine array of trophies is one result, these now being displayed in Mr J. A. D'algetty’is window. The list comprises the following: Winter Show Cup for’ points in exhibits; Mr A. E. Gardener oak tray, silver-mounted, for best bird shown, by local member; the society’s trophies, cup for (best adult bird; silver tea set, for best young bird; rose bowls, points in utility and fancy orpingtoms and for bantam®; cups for fancy andj utility mjinorcas andi for black rose comb bantams; oak trays for paints in Sussex and. in duck classes; cup for best opposite sex in bantams; cruet for points in brown leghorns; rose bowl, presented by Mr W. E. Watson, for points in heavy breeds; cup, presented by Mr W. A. Sprugg, for utility white leghorns; challenge shields, for points in bantams and for utility classes (poultry and ducks); drapers’ rose (bowl, white rocks ; licensed victuallers’ cup, Rhode Island Reds; doctors, dentists and druggists’ rose bowl, games section ; motor traders’ rose bowl, leghorn section ; builders’ and carpenters’ rose bowl, fancy Minorca®; butchers’ and bakers’ cup, best Orpington; juvenile rose bowl, points in children’s classes; tea set, given by Mir E. Simon, for best bird shown by'wife, daughter or mother of member. The prospects for the show, which, is to be held in conjunction with the Winter Show and British Industrie's Fair, are excellent.
