ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
GIRL FATALLY INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association ) ASHBURTON, June 16. • Maude Bishop, aged 22, died while en route to the hospital last evening from injuries received through being knocked down by a motor car driven by a. youth. She had alighted from a bus and was crossing to the opposite side of the road when she was struck. Her parents reside at Waikanae (Mataura), and Miss Bishop had been spending a holiday with her uncle. She intended returning home to-day.
