MEAT AND DAIRY BOARDS.
AMALGAMATION WORTH CONSIDERATION. MR. W. GOODFELLOW’S OPINION (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 16. Mr. W. Goodfellow, chairman of directors of the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company, is of opinion that Sir George Elliot’s advice to amalgamate the Meat and Dairy Control Boards is worthy of serious consideration. The Dairy Board, as now constituted, is costly _ and 1 cumbersome, and' amalgamation would give the dairy industry an adequate service in regard to shipping, insurance, advertising, and l supervision of cold storage at a comparatively small cost.
