DAY AND NIGHT OPERATION URGED.

Received 11.55 a.m. to-day. LONDON, June 15. The Shipping Conference adopted a resolution moved by Mr. Campbell, general counsel for the American Steamship Owners’ Association, pointing out that the volume of traffic in the Panama. Canal now justified 1 the continuous operation of the canal day and night, and suggesting that representations be made to the American Government to extend the hours of operation.
