SACRED RECITAL. TO-MORROW AT THE OPERA HOUSE. A spc-la,l effort will .bo made for the Aiairata relief fund, .wider the aegis of the Hawiorn, Alunicipa Band. tomorrow evening (Sunday) after church services, at. 8.30 p.m. in the Opera House. The hand will play the overture, "Poet and Peasant” (Syippe) ; selection. "L’Ehreo” (Appollini); andante, “Ronianc'ifi” '(Rubinstein) ; march. ‘'Dreadnought’’ (Riminer). The numbers to be 'given by the Methodist Choir will be "Sun of Mv Soul” (Turner), andi San don ("Lead Kindly Light.”) M'isw Afarv Barnes, winner of the sacred so'.o at Eltbam. will .sing her test number, "Abide AVitli Ale.” Thru audience will bo. asked, -to s.ing the hymn "Nearer My God to Thee,” with band accompaniment. The people in town and district are asked to he generous in their response lo the anneal.
