CORRESPONDENCE.

WANDERING STOCK. (To the Editor.) Sir, —While returning from Haw ora this evening 1 passed through some fifteen cows scattered over the middle of the road about one and a 'quarter miles on the Ivaupokonui side of Manilla. This is flic third time within the last fortnight that I have met wanderino- stock at night. Whether they were town cattle or not, I do not know. 1 only hope the owners will take immediate steps to keep them off the road and thus safeguard the travelling public, otherwise I trust that the authorities will move in the matter. I am, etc-., ANDREW HAST lE. Manaia. June 14.
