MISSING MONEY FOUND.

HAWERA VISITOR’S WALLET. A visitor to Hawera during the recent races, who, while a guest at the White Hart Hotel, reported the loss of a wallet containing £25 and a cheque, has since made the happy discovery That he was mistaken in concluding that the property was stolen. A message received by 7 the Hawera police to-day advises that the wallet and contents was subsequently discovered in a- portion of the owner’s clothing which had been overlooked during the original search when it was thougfft a loss had been sustained.

A sueessful meeting of farmers was held at Toko on Thursday evening, at which it was aecided to form a pool for bobby 7 calves in conjunction with the Farmers’ Co-op. Freezing Works, Patea, says the “Stratford Pose.” The company 7 will advance without icourse against calves on collection at farmers’ gates, and if there is any surplus it wilL be distributed as a further payment. The meeting decided to place the management of the scheme in the hands of the Toko branch of the Fanners’ Union. Up to the present about 1400 calves 7 have been promised in a district extending from Sangster’s Hill to the Grown Road.

Goodfellow, managing director of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company was considered at the meeting of, the board of directors of the company at Hamilton on Tuesday. As a result a resolution was passed endorsing the statement already 7 supplied, to the press by Mr Goodfellbw concerning his difference with Air W. Grounds, ohairman of the Control Board, and appointing Air H. H. Sterling ana Air Dynes Fulton as a committee to draw up a statement for publication, setting out the position from the point of view of the directors of the New Zealand Co-oper-ative Dairy Company 7 .
