FILTH AM B DEFEATS KAPONGA
At Kaponga yesterday Eltham B gained a last minute victory over the local team by five goals to- four. During the first spell (J. Harding and B. Myhill scored for Kaponga, and Davies notched a goal for the visitors. C. Harding and F. Albon scored a goal eacli for Kaponga in the second spell and Hit ham secured fo'Tn- goals, three of which were scored by H. Lambie. , Messrs J. J. Davison and C. J. Pennington were the referees. The result of this match furnishes a good idea as to the winners of the Thursday competition, the three strongest teams having met once. Eltham A has been defeated by Kaponga. (6 —3) and by Eltham B (7 —4). The win to credit of Eltham B yesterday points to this team’s superiority, -though Kaponga held the lead until the closing stages. The winners are older and more experienced players than the Kaponga team.
