NEW SOUTH WALES TOURALTERATIONS IN ITINERARY. TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION 1 WELLINGTON, May 23. Some alterations have been made in the itinerary of the' New South Wales team. The match at Dunedin on September 8 will be the. second test, and that at Christchurch on September 15, which was the second.' test, will now be the third test. RANFURLY SHIELD. CHRISTCHURCH, May 23. At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union, a- challenge wai received from Hawke’s Bay for the Ranfurly Shield. The challenging union intimated that it fully realised Canterbury’s difficulty regarding fixtures, but suggested September 12 as the date for the match inf Christchurch, conditional on Canterbury holding the shield on that date. Mr. S. F. Wilson: “I move that we accept the challenge, and pray that we will be- able to play it.” The motion was carried'. Other challenges accented were: Wairaraoa, July IS; Manawhenua, A unrust- 11. The chairman pointed out that South Canterbnrv had put in the first Haim, for a challenge match. It \vas decided to write to that union pointing out that it would he very hard for Canterbury to fix a date prior to July 18.
