HOSPITAL RADIO FUND.
PTPE BANDS DESIRE TO HELP. '* On Saturday next the pipe bands of Hawera, Auroa, Eltham and New Plymouth, with supporters, will assemble in Ilawera for a conference to consider matters affecting the pipe bands of the province. As time Avill permit of their doing so the hands liave v expressed a desire to do something toAvards the hospital radio fund. The visiting bandsmen and friends will arrive in Hawer'a on Saturday afternoon. In the evening from "7 till 9 o’clock the united bands Avill parade the main streets of The town and nurses from the* hospital Avill be in attendance to receive contributions for the radio fund. On Sunday morning the bands Avill hold a church parade attending the service at the Presbyterian church and in the afternoon Avill play in the hospital grounds. Should, hoAvever, there be any serious case of illness at the hospital, making it inadvisable for the visit to be made the bands will play at the park instead.
