SPORTS MEETING.
MEREMERE-OHANGAI CLUB. ON WEDNESDAY NEXT. Keen interest is being taken in the preparations for the second annual sports meeting organised by the Mere--111 ere-Oban gai Athletic Club and to be held on Wednesday next in Mr .T. Anderson’s paddock at Ohangai. It will be a very widely varied programme that will be presented, comprising as it 'does, athletic, horse leaping and sowing and chopping events, in addition to sundry interesting competitions.
A decided attraction also will by the Rugby football match between City and Ohangai teams, which is certain to be a great struggle and a good display of Rugby. There will be a luncheon booth on the ground and all arrangements will be of the best, so as to ensure a thoroughly gon'd day’s outing. It will conclude with the annual dance in the hall in the evening.
