FORMATION OF WHEAT POOL PROPOSED. fliy TELKGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, May 18. The formation of a wheat pool will, as the result of a recommendation from the Wheat Committee, be considered by various branches of the New Zealand ‘Farmers’ Union during the next fortnight. At a conference of wheat growers to be held at Ashburton on May 31, the suggested oonetitution drafted by the. Wheat Committee will he discussed. The Committee, which has been assisted by the growers in Rangiora and North Canterbury and by individual wheat growers in Canterbury and North Otago, has made a recommendation after giving the question of formation of a pool for collective marketing of wheat full consideration.
