FRASER ROAD.
(From our own correspondent). The local factory is open now on alternate days and about twelve cheeses are being manufactured in each make. Contrary to the rule of the past few seasons it is expected that tlie factory will close down in winter because some repairs are due, mainly to the brickwork of the boiler. The Fraser Road Football Club has made an’auspicious start to their season having gained three points out of lour in away matches. There should be a good crowd next Wednesday to witness the team’s first home match against Whareroa. The householders are . satisfied with the progress of the school and the usual committee was re-elected with the exception of Mr A. L. Campbell, who declined nomination alter seventeen years’ continuous service during twelve of which he was chairman of committee. Mr E. Gibson was elected in his stead. Mrs F. H. J. Tilly, of Tirimoana, has recently undergone a serious operation and is under the care of Dr. D. H. Saunders, of Eltham. She is reported to be making excellent progress. We wish her a speedy restoration and complete recovery.
