FARMERS’ INTERESTS.
TRIBUTE TO GOOD WORK.
Mr Robert Dunn, of New Plymouth, and formerly of Aurca, an ex-president or the New Zealand Farmers’ Union executive was given a cordial welcome to the annual South Taranaki Conference this morning. The president, said that Mr Dunn had dope a power •of good and deserved the heartiest goodwill of all. Tlie secretary reminded the conference that this was. Mr Dunn’s birthday and on his call three hearty cheers were given for Mr Dunn. In reply, Mr. Dunn thanked all for their kindly expressions and said that, he was always ready to give attention ;ind time to matters where farmers’,, interests were* concerned. He noted with approval that organising had increased and that All* Gillies had, done so well in the district. If they'could show farmers a direct return the farmers would respond. He referred to the, need for introduction of the question of co-operative marketing and said it, was an excellent scheme which he hoped would come into effect. He again thanked the conference for the very hearty welcome and the good wishes expressed for his welfare.
